With perfect race and events organisation and with its enthusiastic spectators, Flachau has been in the limelight for over 10 years with its Formula 1 event of winter sports in Alpine Skiing World Cup.

Every race becomes an event, the World Cup ski races in Flachau are always extravagant ski festivals. This combination of high-class sporting event and great entertainment is seen as the future of the competition series by the FIS (International Ski Federation).

Snow in the limelight: floodlit pistes and floodlit toboggan runs
The1.5 km long floodlit piste in Flachau has been an attraction for years for all those wanting to conjure up a few more turns between après ski and nightlife. 
Our hotel is situated right by the floodlit piste!

As of last winter the 3 km long toboggan run from the Winklalm is also floodlit: in Flachauwinkl there is a 3 km long floodlit toboggan run upon which you can sledge down every evening until 11 pm. Toboggans can be hired from the cosy Gasthof at the top and can simply be left at the bottom - they'll be taken back to the top by the fairies!
